This has been a long time coming! Since I left K-LOVE, my friend Paul Goldsmith has been encouraging me to create a radio show podcast. But it wasn’t in my heart. So since 2011, I’ve been helping around America in different areas of radio from fundraising to coaching to voice work.
Then in November, I responded to a deep calling in my heart to wait on the Lord. Honestly, I was terrified. How long would He ask me to wait? What should it look like to wait? Moses waited 40 years – would God ask me to wait that long, too?
Those questions seem silly to me now. I slowed down my frantic pace and began to wait. Long talks, long walks, quiet space seeking His face. Now I don’t want to do anything else. Deep healing, direction, and love have come to me over these months of waiting on Him.
In January, He began to whisper to my heart about a platform, a calling, and a message. I felt like He was asking me to step out. So here I am.
If you need something in your life, but you’re not sure what it is, look at what it says in Isaiah 30:15-18
In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. You said, ‘No, we will flee on horses.’ Therefore you will flee! You said, ‘We will ride off on swift horses.’ Therefore your pursuers will be swift!
A thousand will flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five you will all flee away, till you are left like a flagstaff on a mountaintop, like a banner on a hill.
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!
