New chapter

What an honor to be on Christian radio for 21 years.

For twenty-one wonderful years, I’ve worked for incredible people.  For twenty-one years, I’ve learned from listeners, guests, co-workers, coaches, counselors, pastors, my family, and friends about the value and power of radio, and more importantly, what matters most in life.

The art of radio has consumed me – especially since God’s power and love captivated my existence as a teenager and radio became the way to honor Him, reach His people, shine His love, and worship Him.

Now another art will become my passion:  the art of full-time motherhood.

Our boys are 3 & 4 years old.  After 20 years of infertility, these boys have healed our hearts, a gift of lovingkindness and tender mercies straight from heaven.  I am ready to invest the very best part of me into their lives.

So over the next few years, I plan to be at home cooking, teaching, dancing, laughing, playing, hiking, growing, singing, and learning.

And on the side, maybe I will coach younger women in Christian radio to help them reach their potential.  Perhaps I’ll get a chance to speak and share the story of God’s faithfulness concerning our marriage and our infertility.  Maybe I will even try to write a few books that could hopefully encourage someone in their spiritual journey.

But for this new chapter of my life, the focus will be my God, my husband, and then my precious Jon David and Jesse.

Thanks for listening for 21 years:)

blessings and much love

– Lisa

Psalm 103: 1-5

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
         Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Really happy for you Lisa -friend. For most of my last 21 years I've listened to you on radio. You're the voice that has woken me up the last 2 plus years. I'll miss your giggle. But Jim and I are thrilled for the next journey you're taking as a full-time mommy to those sweeties. And give our love to Darin too. One day we hope to join you in Colorado. It's our dream place to live–the place where God began to heal us after James died. Carve out a sweet spot there and bloom. Much love to you.

Lisa, will miss hearing you on the radio as I am driving to work and for about an hour following. I have been blessed in attending a service with you and your husband when you were going to Bayside Woodland, yet by the time I realized you went there, I think you had an assignment elsewhere, so was able to talk to your husband, and since then have talked to others from BW, including some of the pastors, who all confirmed what I had sensed, that you are very well loved by all. I hope that we will all either meet up this side of heaven or during the eternal one following. Please always renember the words found in Jeremiah 29:11, where it is written that God has plans for all of us, as I believe you will and do. May our Abba continue to pour out His blessings to all of you as you begin this next chapter and truly hope to keep in touch. God bless each and all of you and will see you all when we do.

Your brother in Christ, James 🙂

    Hi Lisa,

I cried when I heard you were leaving but I'm glad you are having time with your two boys.

I loved the goodbye song that Matthew West wrote for you and Eric.

The last part about you go together like Positive Encouraging K-Love is so true.

I believe God has a plan for you and your family. May God Bless You in this new time.

    Love you sister,
    Grace Mae

    Lisa;
I have followed you since your days at KCVO. Later, I discovered you on Z Radio while I was on a business trip in Florida, then discovered you once again on KLOVE. It was great to be able to listen on-line, wherever I was. I will definitely miss your enthusiasm and your laugh, but I am so proud of your decision to follow a higher calling. Congratulations to you and your husband on your two wonderful blessings!

    God bless,
    Mark

    Hi Lisa,

I live in Miami along with my husband and 3 kids (21,9 & 2). I have been married approximately 25 years in total, I say this because I was married for 10 divorced, he came to Christ and THEY never gave up on me and I came to Christ and after 2 years of being divorced we remarried. Our dream is to move to Orlando, we currently reside in Miami BUT Orlando feels like home. We began listening to the Z everytime we drove to Orlando and then hear you online – because you and the Z crew have a way with a song, with a message with one word to show how much the Lord loves us. You especially have so much joy in your voice and it will be a blessing to get you back on for just a little while if possible. Also your story is so inspiring and it teaches us that WAIT because the Lord does not forget us and His plans are so perfectly planned out and THINGS will happen and you were blessed with not one but two beautiful boys. I became a mother of three only by His glory and I am so greatfull.
Thank you Lisa for being such an inspiration and for sharing you with us 🙂 God Bless You and your beautiful family!!!

Hey, I'm glad you're here! I hope that through radio, a podcast, or face to face at an event, we can remind each other that His love is better than life. xo
